High Sensitivity: 0.8 mCi FDG brain scans
The series of three low-activity images shown on the right demonstrate the high-sensitivity of the NeuroPET™. The data were obtained from a normal volunteer injected with 4.3mCi of FDG and scanned at three different time intervals on the NeuroPET system. The top scan was started 74 minutes post injection, center scan 166 minutes post injection, and the bottom scan was obtained 253 minutes post injection. Each list-mode acquisition was 30 minutes in duration reconstructed with 2mm voxels both as a single static image as well as a dynamic series of five minute frame lengths, each with PDS fully 3D system response matrix method. Note the high image quality at each time point. The calculated activity remaining in the subject is calculated to be 2.4mCi, 1.3mCi, and 0.8mCi respectively.
